Denise Bumgarner, LPC
Denise Bumgarner has been a Licensed Professional Counselor for over twenty years, providing services in the Fredericksburg area for the past ten years. She graduated from George Mason University in 1989 with a Masters of Education in Counseling. She received her license from the state of Virginia in 1992. Denise has worked in a variety of settings including the Minirth-Meier-New Life Clinic in Fairfax, Virginia where she directed the inpatient eating disorder program for three years. Denise has a specialty in the area of eating disorders, providing both individual and group counseling. She also works with a variety of mental health issues including obsessive-compulsive disorder, depression, anxiety, addictions, and sexual trauma. She provides individual, couple and family therapy to adolescents and adults. Denise integrates faith into the therapeutic process, emphasizing spiritual hope and healing.
Denise is married with two children and lives in Stafford. She is also actively involved in the ministry of Young Life and in her local church.
